New Blog: 'Conference Inference: Blogging the World of Conferences'

The blog, which will include posts from Emily and James as well as regular guest contributions, aims to provide a platform for critical and creative analyses of conferences. Conferences are an integral aspect of the academic profession, but they are under-researched, and much literature about conferences takes an anecdotal or 'top tips' approach. 

This blog approaches conferences with an open mind – never fully knowing what they are, or the reasons their participants do the things they do. 'Conference Inference' is interested in contributions that explore the ways conferences are influenced by (and also influence) socio-political dynamics.
 
The blog is also interested in space, relationships, emotions, and contributions that illuminate academic conferences as complex ecosystems.
