A substantial part of its contents is concerned with reporting research findings in ways that bring out their relevance to senior managers and policy makers at institutional and national levels, and to academics who are not necessarily specialists in the academic study of higher education. Higher Education Quarterly also publishes papers that are not based on empirical research but give thoughtful academic analyses of significant policy, management or academic issues. Joint Editor: Professor Lee Harvey Lee is an acknowledged expert on issues of quality, employability and student feedback in higher education. Previously the Director of the Centre for Research & Evaluation at Sheffield Hallam University, and Director of Research at the higher Education Academy. Joint Editor: Dr Celia Whitchurch Celia is Lecturer in Higher Education at the Institute of Higher Education, University of London. Celia has published widely on institutional management and changing professional identities in higher education.
