Research-led teaching: Defining and Celebrating a Tradition Conference

The University of Kent are delighted to announce a forthcoming, free conference entitled ‘Research-led teaching: Defining and Celebrating a Tradition’ to be held at the University of Kent (Canterbury campus) on Wednesday 26th of February, 11am-7pm.


This conference will explore definitions of research-led teaching, showing examples of where it is used well, and stimulating attendees to better develop and articulate its value in their professional practice. For more details see


Colleagues are welcome to attend for all or part of the day as desired.  Home and international colleagues who are unable to attend in person are welcome to present a pre-recorded presentation and/or participate via electronic means.


You are cordially invited submit a proposal of 250-500 words to are invited on any topic concerned with research-led teaching.  See the conference web page for an indicative list of topics and criteria for selection.  Note also that talks should be short (12-20 mins depending on numbers) and in a TED-style format. The use of PowerPoint is discouraged: no bullet points or stock images, please.
