As part of a series of workshops on the Newer Researcher in Higher Education, under the aegis of the SRHE via the Donald Bligh funding scheme, along with two academic colleagues (Dr Paul Ashwin from Lancaster University and Professor Lynn McAlpine from Oxford University ), I am undertaking some pilot research on how newer researchers in the field of higher education engage with Higher Education policy (either as a research theme and/or in terms of how it might shape their understanding of their possible future career options and strategies, even if they are researching a completely different aspect of higher education).
The pilot study includes conducting some semi structured interviews with newer researchers, who might be doctoral students, postdocs, early career academics, academic developers or early career researchers in a higher education, charity, think tank, government or other institutional/organisational setting. If any member of the Newer Researchers network or any other SRHE network who fits this description would be willing to be interviewed for up to 30 minutes by phone or Skype, please contact me, preferably by no later than April 30th on R.Deem@rhul.ac.uk or tel 01784 44 3994 or 07983616691. NB: There is no need to click on book now below - please contact Rosemary via the above e-mail link or by telephone. The interviews can be arranged to suit the interviewee during May 2012.
