SRHE Annual Conference 2009 Celtic Manor Resort, Newport, Wales
The Conference will begin on the morning of Tuesday 8 December 2009 (11.00 am) and will end mid-afternoon on Thursday 10 December 2009 (3.30 pm).
The SRHE Annual Conference is planned as a participative event at which delegates presenting their own work will also participate in the discussions in plenary sessions and in the presentations of the work of others. The Conference programme is planned on the basis that delegates will attend the whole event over the three days.

SRHE Membership Conference Discounted Rate
SRHE members benefit from discounts on Annual Conference fees as well as receiving many other benefits. Non members wishing to take out the special discounted Conference membership package at the time of booking their conference place,can benefit from the SRHE member rates as well as a years membership of the Society and free attendance at all SRHE Network seminars
Conference Packages
Early Registration Discounts: book by 1 October 2009
To qualify for an early booking discount, registrations must be received by
1 October 2009 and payments received by 1 November 2009. All authors will be informed of paper acceptances before 1 October 2009 to enable them to take advantage of these rates.

Full conference fees include:
- Three conference days
- Two nights hotel accommodation at the Celtic Manor Resort (Dec 8 & Dec 9)
- Breakfast on 9 and 10 December
- Lunches on 8, 9 and 10 December
- Refreshments throughout the day on all three days
- Welcome reception on 8 December
- Welcome dinner on 8 December followed by entertainment,
- Pre Conference dinner drinks reception on 9 December
- Conference sessions and materials pre and post conference.

Day Delegate Rate: Wednesday 9 December 2009 only
The day delegate rate is intended for those not presenting research work at Conference but wishing to participate in some part of the event. Presenting authors cannot be guaranteed that their presentation time will be scheduled on this middle day.

Conference Dinner Wednesday 9 December 2009
The SRHE Annual Conference dinner this year will include a three course meal prepared by award winning chefs at the Celtic Manor plus wine and an after dinner speaker followed by dancing.

Accompanying Persons
For Conference Delegates on the residential package wishing to be accompanied by a partner, sharing a double room but not attending the conference, a single additional fee has been negotiated which includes two nights accommodation sharing room with full paying participant, breakfast, lunches, teas and coffees, Welcome Reception.
Accompanying Person Fee £160.00
Additional nights
Delegates wishing to arrive before the start of the conference or to extend their stay at the resort can do so for a special price negotiated for delegates attending the SRHE conference.

SRHE Membership Conference discounts
Conference delegates who are not members of the Society can take advantage of a special discount membership offer and receive the benefit of SRHE member rates for the conference, SRHE discounts on all publications on sale at the conference plus a year’s membership of the Society.

PGNR SRHE Postgraduate and Newer Researchers Conference (PGNR) 7 December 2009.
One day conference
Fees for the one day Postgraduate and Newer Researchers Conference include attendance on the day, lunch, refreshments throughout and an early evening drinks reception. Accommodation for students requiring an overnight stay on 6 December and /or 7 December may be booked at the special SRHE student rate of £60 per night including breakfast.

Bursaries
The Society has a small number of bursaries available of £100 to assist fulltime students to attend the SRHE conference and of £50 to assist Fulltime students attending the Postgraduate and Newer Researchers Conference. All applicants for bursaries must provide proof of their student status and complete a bursary application form available to download from the conference website.
